About Wee OrganicsBob in his shop in Vermont

Welcome to our cyber home. We are Ed and Sharen Bogosian, known as Grammie & Grampy to our family. At 66 years old, we are still full of energy and love playing with our grandchildren. Recently, however, we have become more and more concerned with the safety of products imported from overseas. And we are not alone.

Wee-Organics is family-owned and dedicated to creating quality American made, worry-free products for your little ones. In addition to using all-natural, organic ingredients to create our toys and teethers, we are dedicated to using sustainable materials and reforestation programs.

When our daughter Kim couldn’t find lead-free and PVC-free toys for her sons, we started to do some research. We found “Made in America” quality wood toys are among the safest "worry-free" toys for kids, but were very hard to find. With our extensive business, marketing and product development background we decided to stop hunting down these products ... we decided to make them ourselves!

Bob in shop in VermontWe launched our business in the great Green State of Vermont and we are proud to say that our toys are lead free, PVC free, meet or exceed government safety standards, hand made, and when we paint them we only use non-toxic water-based paint. Additionally, we are trying very hard to be as environmentally friendly as possible; we buy from mills that harvest in sustainable Vermont forests and have reforestation programs. We give our saw dust to local farmers for mulch and we pack all our toys with recyclable paper.

Wee-Organics blog, http://safetoysusa.blogspot.com will help connect all of us. We don’t want you to just shop with us; we want you to tell us what you want us to make, share your photos, suggest activity ideas for your kids, and more. Our daughter Kim, who is VP of Digital Marketing for Lifetime TV, will provide insight on the challenges facing working moms. Also, our son Jeff, General Manager of Winchester Securities, will offer financial advice, and our friendly pediatrician will share cooking tips and ideas for scrapbooking your photo album on Wee-Organics.com. We want to work with you to create a strong online community.

We hope you enjoy our site and our products. We always love to hear your comments on thoughts. Never hesitate to contact us as we are here to serve you and your family.

Toy safety should be a concern of all parents. For a complete and up-to-date list of toy recalls, logon to the U.S. Product Safety Commission.

How to help safe play

  1. Inspect that your toy has been properly unpacked and that any unsafe packaging materials have been discarded.
  2. American made is best. All natural parts is better. Make sure you know where your product is made and that it’s age-appropriate.
  3. Wee toys are clearly marked for each age group. As a general rule, kids under 3 should not play with toys that contain small parts.
  4. Always inspect your child’s toy to make sure nothing is broken or loose.
  5. Never let small children play unsupervised.
  6. Follow the manufacturer’s assembly directions and call them if you don’t understand something.
